MOTION Creating Outdoor Experiences (COE) - Motion COE creates, develops and implements outdoor projects around the globe. Motion COE specializes in innovative planning, creative multi-seasonal recreation, active and adventure trail systems and snow sports teaching concepts. Our goal is to design in a fashion that has little impact on the land and conserves the natural environment. Having a fun, environmentally friendly and progressive approach can make the difference in designing outdoor projects summer and winter.

Motion COE will develop a multi-seasonal operating and lucrative leisure mountain playground area.

IWAN FUCHS

CREATIVE MANAGER

Iwan Fuchs grew up surrounded by the snow sports industry. His childhood in Switzerland allowed him to learn ski techniques from an early age, making skiing as second-nature as walking. His early career in the ski industry began in the Swiss Knife Valley of Central Switzerland, teaching lessons at the age of 16. He then joined the Swiss Military Mountain Division and developed skills as a Mechanical Engineer. He went on to hone these skills as a project manager and mechanical engineer at a Swiss-based sandblasting company, developing a mobile sandblasting unit and fine-tuning the stationary systems. Iwan’s passion for the snow sports industry continued to call to him. He found time to become certified in teaching skiing and taught at Engleberg, Switzerland every chance he could. As time passed the pull towards the mountains grew stronger and mountain recreation became more than a hobby, it became a career.

Iwan has proven his management and leaderships skills as a Snowsports Director and Mountain Manager where his knowledge of the industry’s past and innovative future gave him the ability to respect a mountain’s natural beauty, while finding exciting ways for people to explore their relationship with the mountain without leaving a giant carbon footprint. Iwan’s involvement with strategic planning and operation of summer activities compliments his international coaching and winter sports experience.

Iwan is a committee member of the NSAA Environmental Committee and writes articles and is a columnist for Winter Sports Technology International. Other memberships includes: -PSIA/AASI
